Girls' Brigade New Zealand
About
Girls' Brigade New Zealand: two exciting programmes just for girls. Traditional Girls' Brigade companies and iconz4girlz units are located around New Zealand.
Girls' Brigade is an international Christian movement for girls aged 5 - 18.
Groups meet weekly after school or in the early evening for activities, games and devotions. Outings, camps, adventure sports and international events offer girls opportunities to enjoy challenges, grow friendships, learn new skills, and strengthen faith: all while having fun!

Joining a GB company or an iconz4girlz unit is a great way for your daughter to make friends, and to enjoy activities that challenge girls, nurturing their growth in a safe and supportive environment.
Each GB company has their own version of the GB uniform, consisting often of a white polo and navy blue shorts or skirts, ask your local company what is expected. IFG units have different coloured t-shirts depending on age/programme level.
Girls' Brigade Companies are inter-church groups run in a local church facility.
IFG (Iconz4Girlz) Units are run by a local church in their church facility.

Our Faith & Values
Girls’ Brigade New Zealand aims to help girls become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to find true enrichment of life ...

• through faith, self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility
• in thought, word and deed to seek, serve and follow Christ

We acknowledge Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord according to the Bible and aim to bring glory to the only true God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our ministry is to the girls and young women of New Zealand, recognising that girls have personal gifts, callings, characters and needs – some of which are gender specific, so that girls benefit from time and space to be girls valued as people each made in God’s image.
We witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ ...
• who transforms, saves and gives life now and eternally to all who come to him by faith
• who modelled and empowers living that honours God and is good for all
• who makes possible a just, loving and peaceful society where all people are valued equally
