COVID-19 Resuming Girls’ Brigade and iconz4girlz group activities – guidance

 

There have been a range of Government and denominational COVID-19 guidance documents with regard to activities and Girls’ Brigade New Zealand has reviewed these to produce GBNZ’s Framework for resuming face-to-face activities.

Update 29 April 2022

From Friday 27th April 2022 the GBNZ COVID-19 Framework has been updated in line with the Governments guidance and our current Orange Traffic Light setting.  The update log at the beginning of our Framework document summarises these changes. See below for updated documents.

 

Companies/ Units/ Areas and National Teams are still required to assess the hazards and risks and put control measures in place, including completing the approval process to be 'Covid-Ready'.

Update 14th February 2022

From Monday 21st February 2022, GB and IFG groups will be able to meet face-to-face providing they:

​

  • Have read the GBNZ Framework and understand the approach to return to face-to-face activities.

  • Have assessed the hazards and risks related to COVID-19 and have put control measures in place for everyone to follow.

  • Have completed the approval process to be ‘Covid-ready’.

  • Have clearly communicated with leaders, parents/ carers, children and young people.

 

ALL leaders in charge of age groups, Company Captain and Unit Senior Leaders are expected to read the framework and guidance and be involved and completing the Group Action Log and Covid-Ready Risk Assessment.
